Philippa Kaye

This story goes on one hell of a ride.
With a sharp lovable heroine, a strong buddy angle, snappy dialogue,
plus a romantic angle I was shipping for.
This book was easy to lose myself in and a lot of fun.

Me, me, me, me, me
Having grown up in Sydney, Philippa (aka Pip) now lives on the Central Coast with her lovely husband and three – often lovely – children.
Pip has had many a job over the years: a checkout-chick at Best and Less, a Pizza Hut 'waitress' (girls weren't allowed to actually make the pizzas in the 80s - not that that stopped her!), a Playbill girl (Programs! Get your programs!) and a funeral singer, just to name a few.
In the real world, she's an educator. She currently teaches secondary English and lectures at the University of Newcastle.
Her Great Aunty was an Olympian, her dad invented Pavlova Magic and in her spare time she paints pictures on the wall.
She loves partaking in a good cocktail, dreaming of distant places and to set her fingers happily tapping along the keyboard with her writing friends, see below.
Girl Detectives Just Wanna Have Fun is Pip’s first novel.

A well-paced, engaging mystery that's packed full of romance and humour.

Goodreads
That's entertainment!
Part mystery, part romance. This is a much nuanaced novel.
Dig a little deeper and Philippa brings underlying themes
under the spotlight that I respected.

Birdie is such a clever amateur detective and I'm hoping that we may see her in future books.
